Ayitha Ezhuthu is a 2010 Tamil film about three unemployed Tamilians who each show their wits in different ways to make money for their own livelihoods. A group of youngsters plan to make money by opening a chili specialty restaurant named "Hot Garlic Chili Pot" with the help of an investor. But it is only after the investor withdraws his support, following an unfortunate incident with one of the youngsters, that they come up with a new strategy using their intelligence and skills. "Ayitha Ezuthu" has been in the making for close to three years since director Ponram's "Nepali", another film featuring Dhanush in a lead role, was released. In the initial days, the film was titled "Naan Ellai Arindhaal". The actor had also shot a publicity-cum-promotional video for this title which is being aired even now on several TV channels. However, a few months back it was made known that the title had been changed to "Ayitha Ezhuthu" and all efforts were made to have the promo tape replaced with the new title track. The film's audio launch was held on 1 September 2010. The audio consists of 5 songs composed by G. V. Prakash Kumar, with the lyrics written by Snehan and Yugabharathi. The soundtrack was released in an unusual manner, without an audio function, but rather through a free magazine titled "Tharai Thappattai" published by Vikatan magazine. It was done to both promote the magazine and the movie at the same time. An interesting trivia is that all songs were recorded in just one day which according to Dhanush is "an achievement for any music director". The songs are sung by Vijay Prakash, Sathish, Jogini Krishnan and Yogi Babu.
